Like many who enjoy the fantasy genre, Akers started reading it as an adolescent. He was fascinated with Tolkien's Lord of the Rings and Bram Stoker's Dracula. He currently enjoys reading works by Dean Koontz, Heather Brewer, J.K. Rowling, and Rick Riordan. Akers enjoys creating a fantasy world with compelling storylines, while injecting humor and a touch of drama into the action as he did with his first book Terra Vonnel and the Skulls of Aries, which has received rave reviews. "I start every story with this thought: Where can I take my audience now? To me it's about the journey, the escape into a world filled with the fantastic and the unexpected. There is nothing like an adventure that takes you further from reality with every turn of the page." D.C. Akers was born in Texas and after spending several years working in accounting, Akers began to pursue his childhood dream of becoming a writer.

Okay, I have to say that the first Haven short story is very very well written. It is not easy to find good, well-written stories today. It fully deserves to be number 1 in all of my lists. I am anxiously waiting for the next parts of both Haven and Terra Vonnel Series. Can you please give let us know the release date of the next parts?

Hi Abdu, thank you for your kind words. I’m very glad you liked it. Haven: Revenge of the Viper (which is a much bigger book) is scheduled for pre-order sometime Feb 2014. As for Terra Vonnel I hope to get back to it sometime in the future. Haven is a pretty big project. Thanks again, DCA

I have another question for you. What the hell is ¨Sinister Bones¨? Is it a book or just the cover of a book? I saw some images on Pinterest. Thought I should ask

      Hi Abdul,
Sinister Bones is the next project scheduled after the Haven Series. The images you see on Pinterest is the cover art for the book. Thanks for asking, DCA
